Changing Sides
In 1910 Korea was one country and the family of Yun Ung-ryeol, center, was still united. That changed when his son Yun Chi-ho, standing, became an advocate of Korean sovereignty. Following wrongful imprisonment by the Japanese and years of silence about foreign rule, he was persuadedor coercedto praise Tokyo's leadership. Now many remember the nationalist as a collaborator.
