All smiles (and unaware of what was to come), Pete Crow heads down "the first and worst" mountainScotland's Ben Nevis. He soon sprained an ankle and had to drop out of the competition. But teammate Julian Parsons soldiered on upand downthe next two moutains, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, despite injuring a knee on Scafell. Under the official Three Peaks Challenge rules, at least four team members must complete all three mountains in less than 24 hours.
